2022 Retail Campaign

Maker’s Mark wanted to do something about the 28 billion pounds of glass regular recycling overflows into landfills. So, in partnership with Kroger, we created the Glass to Garden program. Instead of having people throw bottles into bins that might lead to landfills, we let them pulverize the
bottles at local grocery stores – turning them into a reusable soil mix. This went to local community gardens – Louisville Grows and Seedleaf – to help grow food. For the experience, we placed portable glass pulverizers in stores and created a full retail campaign to help crush our sustainability
goals.
