After being tasked with creating a name and identity for a summer series of free bluegrass concerts, my personal favorite iteration was Loutenanny. A portmanteau of "Louisville" and "hootenanny", Loutenanny pays homage to the folk art roots of the bluegrass aesthetic and reclaim the stereotypical assumptions of the genre with updated and vibrant woodcut-style illustrations to draw in locals and visitors alike.
